Divinycell® H80 grid-scored is a high-performance PVC structural foam core material designed for use as a sandwich core in composite structures. Precision grid cuts in both longitudinal and transverse directions provide excellent conformability, allowing the material to adapt easily to highly curved and complex geometries.
The cuts extend through nearly the full thickness of the sheet, ensuring very good drapeability on contoured moulds and curved surfaces. A lightweight glass fibre scrim bonded to the reverse side stabilises the individual segments while ensuring easy and robust handling during processing.
Divinycell® H80 is an established PVC structural foam widely used in lightweight composite construction, including marine, transportation, wind energy and industrial sandwich applications.
Divinycell® H80 grid-scored is used wherever lightweight yet stiff sandwich structures are required, including:
Sheet Size
1220 × 813 mm
Grid Pattern:
Suitable for:
The grid-scored version is generally suitable for vacuum infusion processes. However, for improved resin distribution, the following variant is often recommended: Divinycell® H80 Grid-Scored + Grooved (Q200)
This construction results in lightweight, stiff and mechanically durable sandwich components with high flexural rigidity.
Divinycell® H rigid PVC foam sheet offers excellent mechanical properties combined with low weight.
Divinycell® H is found to comply with
Application:
Divinycell® H has a proven track record in virtually every application area where sandwich composites are employed, including the marine (leisure, military and commercial), land transportation, wind energy, civil engineering/infrastructure and general industrial markets.
Processing:
Continuous operating temperature is typically -200 ºC to +70 ºC. The foam can be used in sandwich structures, for outdoor exposure, with external skin temperatures up to +85 ºC.
Maximum processing temperature is dependent on time, pressure and process conditions.
